Turner and Leeds in the YEP

On Saturday (18/07/09), the Yorkshire Evening Post published a feature on Turner and Leeds. Written by Justine Gaunt, it examines how a formative period in the city's history is portrayed in the work of an artist whose work, as author Professor David Hill comments, is 'almost never without social commentary'. The article's publication was timed to dovetail with Professor Hill's lecture on Turner at Harewood House, which was delivered on the same day.
